Apples, Apples, Apples!

Today we helped Great-Grandma pick her apples. I should re-phrase that.... she let us pick her apples so they would not go to waste. Applesauce, here we come! Thank you, Great-Grandma!
The kids loved climbing on the ladder, and they have been munching apples ever since.
We have LOTS of them. Guess what I will be doing on Labor Day ;-)))

Oh wow--that takes me back to my childhood! I wish I had access to all those apples--and a grandma, too!

It looks like it was a fun day!

I'm going to be the stick in the mud, but oh yuck, Barb, that doesn't sound like a fun way to spend Labor Day - too much labor! LOL! We used to have two apple trees at our other house, and I grew totally weary of apples! My kids used to have "apple wars," which involved pegging each other with the little ones. You would think that this would be a bad memory, but it is one of their favorites!

I will be like the grasshopper who envies the ant once the cold winter hits! LOL!
