Whewww, made it!

First day of school is over!
I think everyone had a pretty good day, although Anya has been a little bit teary all day. I really, really hope that she will like being home for school, but I guess only time will tell *sigh*

Here are a few pictures of our day...

Elia at his Kindergarten orientation

This afternoon, we headed to the park, where Anya did a hands-on science project.

And then we did lots of "dressing up nature style", and building a sand castle.

I love the pictures! You are so creative~you're a great mom!

Anya will love the other benefits of home schooling....doing school in her pajamas......taking fun field trips and counting them as school.....being done with school work in half the time

I hope all the kiddos have a good school year!

I love your picture collages. I'm very curious about Anya's virtual schooling. I develop online classes at our University (which is why I'm on the computer ALL the time). I'd love to know more about how that works at a younger level. We have an initiative in MI that by the time our students are in High School, they will have taken at least 1 online course to prepare for online course work at college.

I hope everyone settles into their routines well. Josie decided that she needed to be up between 12:30am - 2:30am last night. yawn....

You do SO many wonderful things with your kids! I'm always so challenged to be a better mom when I read all you do. I feel SO STRETCHED being home with two 4 year olds right now. Just getting out of the house is a chore. I LOVE to see what you're doing. OH...and I'm with Kim...I'd love to have information on your virtual school. We're planning (which it could change) to do something different with Sophie next year in 6th grade. Obviously, homeschooling is at the top of our list. So the virtual classroom seems neat!!! I'd LOVE to hear about it!!!

Hope you guys have a FANTASTIC day!
Blessings,
Buffi
