Born on the other side of the world, and placed in our hearts . Now she is home. Before she had a name, our children lovingly referred to her as "the China girl"

A must read "post-election"
I would like to share a few more things later, but for now I would really, really like you to go here and read THIS post!
So true!! I receive daily devotionals from Proverbs 31 Ministries....I can't tell you how many times it has given me strength, comfort, and at times an attitude adjustment:-). OX
Oh....and I hope your 'feeling' is right about our referral!!!!!
Hey Barb Thank you very much for having linked this post. These are very good and challenging thoughts even if I don`t live in America with a new president I can learn much from it. In our English class we had also about the elections and we had to write about what we would tell Obama if we met him. =)
I went to the site you listed, and this woman says a lot. Thanks - I needed to read that. (I actually caught up reading your blog and several others on Sunday, but my attitude about the elections was still so rotten that I did not comment on anyone's blog.)
I can't wait to start reading about your holiday preparations. I stand in awe of your decorating, baking, and various crafts. We will start decorating after Thanksgiving, and hopefully I will do a better job than last year. With Joanna so newly arrived in 2007, EVERYTHING was an effort last Christmas. This year, the girls plan to drag me kicking and screaming to decorate the house from head to toe!
The adventures of our family continue long after this adoption journey has ended. For that purpose we will be starting a new Blogfor friends and family. If you would like access to this new blog, please email us at wyochinagirl@gmail.com
We are an international family with roots in the USA, Switzerland, and China. We have 6 children between the ages of 8 and 14. Our youngest two daughters were adopted from China in 2007 and 2010. We live in the "Forever West" State of Wyoming, USA, where we enjoy living and celebrating our different heritage with its unique traditions.
We're nuts about God, family, Swiss Chocolate, legos, traveling, green smoothies, soccer, video games, gardening, Nutella, laptops, tapioca pudding, princesses, reading, home-made bread, potstickers, friends, and many other things that the Lord has blessed us with.

love will grow
do you trust me
little girl?
when your merry eyes
seemed dimmed with dreaming
do you grieve?
in their troubled depth
lie memories
of other mothers
this I know
do you trust me
little girl
realize that after me
there will be
no other mothers-
that for this human measure
of "forever"
I am yours?
trust me first
my darling...
love will grow
